Most people don’t know how to be self responsible and accountable for the thoughts they think , the words they say and the actions they engage in and don’t live consciously, unaware and unmindful of cause and effect , need to stay religious . Bc without it , we’d have a hell of a lot of psychopaths walking around.

And that's the common thread by the way. They presuppose that god is good, leading them to always blame the victims, witherof natural events, or in this case, of child abusers. You know Catholic child abuse is biblically endorsed. There's no verse in the bible that prohibits child abuse. Deuteronomy tells us to stone our childre to death outside the city walls for disobedience, and remember that dead children go to heaven so it's a mercy really. If he'll were real, the perpetrators of these crimes are the ones that deserve to inhabit it.

I will never understand how theists don’t recognize their own special pleading and refusal to self reflect. Especially when it’s pointed out to them. I was a hardcore christian as a youth. As soon as I was presented with evidences of the hypocrisy and the crazy amount of bending words to “fit the narrative”. I was honest with myself (with an open heart lol) and went to find out for myself whole swaths of the Bible that were conveniently “skipped over” or deliberately misinterpreted. If christians actually followed the bible and if we’re actually a “christian nation”, then why is there a homeless/housing crisis? With food, shelter, and water not being free for everyone? Why do christians hate the “other”? Be it race, place of origin, sexuality etcetera. Love thy neighbor my ass. I know I’m preaching to the choir, but this is so damn infuriating! @celticbabs3105 The almost identical situation happened to me. Hundreds of people praying for over a year, for my wife with cancer, and she dies at 36, leaving not just me, but (at the time), my 7 year old daughter. God sure likes fucking peoples lives over to test their faith.

The unfair thing about this God is that he lacks accountability for all the evil that exists in this world. If he was the first to exist then he created everything and should accept that he made a bad decision, however he shifts the blame to his creation. Regarding those who have been victims of this evil in this world, it is insane to hear people say it was the devil who did and God will heal you. So he is ready to say he healed your emotions but if a victim fails to go past trauma, then by default it is your fault again. He just wants to take credit for all thegood happening in people's lives and then blame the devil (his own creation) for all the evil. He is a very disgusting God to say the least.

My guess is; 'It's never God's fault and if it is, it was my/the devil's fault'

Is there a discussion about the “stickiness” of Christianity, which I haven’t seen with other belief systems? When I was a believer, I felt burdened to convert the rest of the world. Another excellent video. I love the breakdown of this. The third video is what really gets me. I can’t believe the balls on that bastard to say what he did. What an utterly sickening response. He has NO idea who that woman or “her people” are. For all he knows her whole family was devout and pure as the driven snow when that all happened to them and she lost her faith later in life.

Its one of the oldest psychological tricks. Make the mark think they're smarter for believing in the con. Couple with sunk cost and a possibility of being kicked out of their community... And you'll have people who will defend obvious lies until they're blue in the face. This is not something that is limited to formal religion, but also how we have ended up where we are politically.

wow. I thought I was ready for this, then the Irish lady spoke. The survivors and families of residential school kids (First Nations) still face the same abuse from perpetrators. Having survived deliberate cultural genocide, all forms of physical and mental abuse, being torn from their parents, consider born lesser than human and just plain bad because of their heritage many now face such abhorrent justifications at a time when they are trying to heal. It's human cruelty hiding behind a mythical being who never has to explain it's deeds because the victim is always the one who has failed.

These critiques of god make sense to me but the main reason why theists think you not being ok with kids getting cancer being part of the grand design is because you can't expect to comprehend the grand design or the grand designer at all. Assuming it's some outerversal omnipotent being (which doesn't make any sense but that just means the god is at least weaker than he is described), it's motives would be completely beyond us.

7:23 I recently saw a video of someone from the Mr Beast team going full on religion, claiming he heard a voice in his head and he knew it wasnt the "enemy". Somehow they seem to have some kind of god detector in their brain, making it so the big bad can never be any threat to them. Why? Because it were "words of light" (whatever that means - sounds poetic, so it gets used). Yeah sure and couldnt satan, the supernatural master manipulator (appointed by god to damn his beloved creation to eternal torture, mind you), easily fake this? I have more in mind regarding some recent happening were a guy ****** his kids because of a voice (the sad part is, we even have a precedent of god demanding this in the bible...), but i dont feel like going that deep. It's all utter nonsense. Real problems most likely wont be solved by wishful thinking.

I never understood the idea of “God testing you.” God knows everything, so it’s not for him. If the claim is it’s for you to know, well, as Socrates said “know thyself.” Anyone who is more than 30 years old should already know themselves pretty well. We don’t need test after test after test to show us who we are. We are well acquainted with our weaknesses. And if the claim is, it’s a test to make you stronger. Well, that doesn’t always happen. Sometimes these trials make us weaker, especially with chronic horse shit happening in our lives, as it erodes us down.

Before you say what you think these videos have in common, here’s my take: gaslighting and victim blaming.

This kind of talk is exactly why mentally ill women with Postpartum Phycosis kill thier children. Andrea Yates was brainwashed by this kind of talk and thought she was saving her children because she had a curse. That's honestly one of the most heartbreaking stories I've heard and one of the only times I've had sympathy for a mom who killed thier kids because her husband brainwashed her and forced her to keep having children AND she asked him to please never leave her alone with them. But he didn't care.

I remember responding to a comment on the non-alchemist's video (forgot which one) in which the Christian is saying because we just hate God so much, hell should be a good thing since it's separation from God. I said it's petty since we don't we get to just go away, instead if according to other interpretations hell is a lake of fire and we'd be burning FOR ETERNITY or even by this guy's supposed interpretation being separated from is a bad thing which is still for eternity. Either way it's petty since this God won't show himself unless you're Paul (apparently he can't do the same for the people who did believe in him but are starting to doubt), decided to play a game of hide and seek after Jesus and the rise of Christianity and gets mad because some of us don't believe him and even if you do if you get the interpretation wrong you're still screwed as Jesus will just say go away you evildoers(depends on which bible you're reading when you get to this part). Waiting for the TikTok that says "even if God actually sends me to hell I'll still be faithful to Him". That follows from what people are saying when they experience diversity. And in that case, what are we talking about then, if there would be _literally no difference_ in the outcome of a believer or non-believer? Afraid of being under the domain of the devil? Well Job shows God can throw you to the devil's influence whenever he chooses, even if you're a believer. Might as well follow a god/belief system/philosophy that's way more pleasant or fun 🤷🏾‍♀️

My Aunt's husband my Uncle Tim died from a Brain Tumor in February 2009. My Aunt almost lost her faith entirely in God. She Spent almost 7 years blaming God before she finally found her faith again. She still kind of blames herself because they were married in the 80's but she divorced him even though she loved him because she didn't want to be tied down they reunited in 2006 and got back together So she still blames herself for divorcing him in the 80's My twin brother and I went and saw them for week in June 2008 in Puyallup Washington and we toured Seattle. At Midnight on the second or third day of our trip my twin and I went to see THE DARK KNIGHT at Midnight This was one of the best times of my life and what really is sucks is I was just getting to my Uncle Tim My Grandfather on My Dad's died of complications from Parkinsons and a UTI on February 5th 2019 He was 85 and my family thanks God he didn't die during 2020 because than we wouldn't have seen him. My Mom's Father died of a Heart Attack at 91 a week after Thanks Giving 2018. Both my Grandma's are still alive but My Dad's Mom has Dementia endstage. My Aunt is taking care of her. We moved her from Yucaipa California to Puyallup I no longer believe in God But My family does they still thank God for everything that happens both good and bad I FUCKING HATE IT. My Mom's Sister Lee died of Bone Cancer in 2005 that was a resurgence of Breast Cancer she survived in 1996. It completely devastated my Mom's parents but especially My GrandFather who we all think was waiting to die until he did a week after ThanksGiving 2018.
